Our mission is to extend the lives of textiles through slow fashion, refashion, and the art of hand mending in an effort to reduce waste and the impact of the fashion industry on Mother Nature.
All of our clothes are handmade in Maine from strictly secondhand textiles, and we are committed to creating absolutely zero textile waste. That means we source exclusively secondhand, vintage and deadstock fabrics and use every scrap we acquire in some product in our collections. We also take on bespoke projects with a focus on refashioning meaningful textiles into modern heirlooms. Our hand mending services are coming soon, and will further expand our ability to save existing, well-worn wardrobe pieces from being discarded.
We believe that circular fashion and the practice of upcycling existing materials are the only ways fashion can be truly sustainable, and that it’s our responsibility as makers and consumers to create and invest in products that will last for generations, while honoring our planet in ways that allow her to thrive into the future.
We believe that every time you purchase from Maeson Maine, you are partnering with us in our mission. A portion of proceeds from every single sale will be donated to organizations working to stop the climate crisis. Our organizations are specifically listed alongside each product in the shop.
